Conducted by Alison Byers, Psy. D., Diversified Search offers clients Assessment Services at their request to gain a full perspective of potential candidates. Dr. Byers' initiatives include: the development of evidence-based assessment used to augment traditional evaluative approaches to selection, applying behavioral interview techniques and the development of sophisticated data analysis for the discovery of best search practices. She works as a member of the consulting organization across all sectors and practices. Dr. Byers has a particular interest in the Non-profit sector and often serves as a strategist on senior level searches.
Prior to joining Diversified Search, Dr. Byers gained extensive clinical experience in juvenile rehabilitation and interpersonal trauma. She worked with the Adolescent Trauma Treatment Development Center and the Terrorism and Disaster Branch of the National Child Traumatic Stress Network and coordinated the Police-Mental Health Project within the Department of Psychiatry at North Shore University Hospital in New York. Dr. Byers consulted with the Suffolk County Juvenile Probation Department and served as the Clinical Director for a community mental health center, and served as the Assistant Director for the Psychological Services Center at L.I.U. C.W. Post Clinical Psychology Program. Dr. Byers had a private practice as a Clinical Psychologist, and held a position as an Adjunct Professor and supervised psychology doctoral students at Long Island University. Dr. Byers also trained as a chef in Paris at La Varenne Ecole De Cuisine.
