PHILADELPHIA – Diversified Search Founder and Chair Judith M. von Seldeneck is one of more than 50 women whose inspiring and groundbreaking journeys in their respective industries is the focus of Women’s Work: Stories from Pioneering Women Shaping Our Workforce, a new coffee-table book published by Simon & Schuster this month.

The book is the brainchild and work of award-winning photographer Chris Crisman, who several years ago came up with the idea of packaging some of his most notable portraits of female entrepreneurs and leaders with some new ones, and providing accompanying first-person essays to tell the stories of women who defied expectations across business, science, academia, the arts, philanthropy, and media. The result is Women’s Work, a 256-page love letter to women who did not allow roadblocks, setbacks, or even outright discrimination stop them from achieving their goals.

Crisman, an area resident himself, originally photographed von Seldeneck several years ago for a feature in Philadelphia Magazine on the most powerful people in the city.

“I am just so delighted, and humbled, to be included in the company of these amazing women captured in Chris Crisman’s beautiful book,” said von Seldeneck. “It really does show the power and ingenuity of women across every field.”

Women’s Work is available in bookstores nationwide. You can order it from Amazon here.
