TWO NEW MANAGING DIRECTORS JOIN DIVERSIFIED SEARCH
Seasoned executives in California and D.C. boost firm’s national reach
PHILADELPHIA — Continuing the robust growth of its executive ranks, Diversified Search is proud to announce the addition of two key executives, including a new leader of its Financial Services practice, and a new managing director in its burgeoning Education, Nonprofit, and Arts and Culture Practice.
MICHAEL SARNOFF will be the new leader of the firm’s Financial Services Practice, and will be based in Southern California. For the past five years he has served as the Co-Founder and Partner at Highland Road LLC, a boutique executive search and capital advisory firm in Los Angeles, where his clients included asset and investment managers, hedge funds, private equity and private debt funds, and investment banks, among others. Prior to co-founding the firm, Sarnoff served as a Partner at Heidrick & Strugles, where he concentrated on capital markets in the financial services sector, and as a Client Partner at Korn Ferry International, where he helped build the firm’s global markets business. He began his career at PBJ Digital, a North Hollywood start-up company. Sarnoff earned his BA at the University of Pennsylvania, and his MBA at the George Washington University School of Business and Public Management.
LIONEL ANDERSON joins the Education, Nonprofit, and Arts and Culture Practice as Managing Director. His executive search career was launched at Isaacson, Miller, where he recruited senior leadership for colleges, universities, and foundations. Within higher education, he has focused on presidential searches. Among his previous clients are the Chemical Heritage Foundation, the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving, Morehouse College, New York University, Northeastern University, Smith College, Temple University, Tuskegee University, and the University of Bridgeport. For roughly a decade prior to search, he served in various capacities in undergraduate student development. As an inaugural board member of TeenSHARP, a nonprofit college preparatory program for promising low-income students in Camden and Philadelphia, Anderson led efforts to fund the organization’s early college tours with students while also publishing seasonal op-eds with The New York Times around undergraduate student success. His bachelor’s and master’s degrees were completed at the University of Pennsylvania, where he continues to fundraise for, and partner with, the Graduate School of Education.
“The addition of such highly skilled and deeply connected executives as Michael and Lionel shows that Diversified Search continues to attract top-drawer talent,” said Dale E. Jones, the firm’s President and CEO. “We are delighted to have their expertise, ideas, and energy as we remain committed to setting the standard for excellence in the executive search industry.”
