Katie Bouton is the President of Diversified Search Group, a role she assumed following Diversified Search’s 2019 acquisition of Koya Partners, where she was the Founder and CEO. Bouton established Koya in 2004 to recruit talented leaders to mission-driven organizations, guided by a belief that “the right person in the right place can change the world.”

With over 20 years of experience in executive search and organizational development, Bouton has built senior leadership teams at leading national and international organizations and partnered closely with founders, boards, and donors to deepen the impact of today’s most pioneering mission-driven organizations. In addition to executive search, Katie’s areas of focus include leadership development, recruitment and retention best practices, company culture, purpose driven organizations, and diversity initiatives.

Bouton began her career in the public sector as a human resources generalist at the Institute for Teaching and Research on Women and the Women’s Law Center of Maryland. She then moved to the private sector, working as a human resources manager at Edelman Public Relations and ChildrenFirst.

A widely sought-after thought leader around issues of leadership, diversity, and inclusion, Bouton was a finalist for EY’s prestigious Entrepreneur of the Year 2018 New England program, and is a Boston Brava Award Winner from SmartCEO, which recognizes high-impact women business leaders. With a strong commitment to civic and women’s leadership, Bouton serves on numerous boards, and currently serves as Chair of the Board of IGNITE, a bipartisan initiative committed to building the next generation of female political leaders. She also sits on the boards of The Home for Little Wanderers and her alma mater, the College of Liberal Arts at the University of New Hampshire, and serves as a corporator of the Newburyport Bank. As the Managing Director and SVP, Talent, Diversity & Equity, Maureen Alphonse-Charles provides vision, leadership, and coordination for DSG’s efforts to ensure diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) across all aspects of the organization’s work. A pioneer in diversity, equity, and inclusion work, she has more than 20 years of experience leading complex executive search, consulting, finance, development, and operations efforts for a variety of institutions. Alphonse-Charles views her role as that of someone who helps organizations find cohesion around a common set of goals by serving as a mentor, coach, and facilitator.

In addition to this role, Alphonse-Charles also serves in a managing director capacity for Koya Partners, part of the Diversified Search Group. Her clients include The KIPP Foundation, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and New World Symphony. She has also partnered with a range of corporate clients such as J.P. Morgan, Northern Trust, and Deloitte, as well as nonprofit organizations like the YWCA, the Boys & Girls Clubs, and Mass, Inc.

Before coming to Koya, Alphonse-Charles was Senior Vice President and COO of The Partnership, a consulting firm that builds cross-sector multicultural and diverse leadership talent. Prior to joining The Partnership, she built leadership teams in her role as Vice President of Recruitment at City Year. Previously, she served as Managing Director at the global search firm Horton International, building the firm’s philanthropic practice and financial services, and was a partner and co-head of the Diversity Practice at the global firm Whitehead Mann Pendleton James.

The recipient of numerous awards for her work, Alphonse-Charles was honored in 2019 by the YW Boston’s Academy of Women Achievers, which recognizes some of Boston’s brightest, boldest, and most influential women. She has been honored as one of Boston’s Most Influential Women by Women of the Harvard Club, and as a Local Woman of Influence by the Boston Business Journal. Alphonse-Charles also served as the first African-American President The Boston Club, the longest-standing organization in the Northeast focused on the advancement of women’s leadership.

Molly Brennan is Global Managing Partner, Nonprofit at Diversified Search Group, a portfolio of wholly-owned boutique search firms serving specialized sectors. Brennan joined Koya Partners in its early years and today leads a portfolio of CEO, President, Executive Director, and other senior executive searches for mission-driven clients across the country and around the world. Her clients have included Amnesty International USA, Southern Poverty Law Center, Sierra Club, Women Moving Millions, Leadership Conference for Civil and Human Rights, ACLU, and Natural Resources Defense Council, among many others.

Molly’s particular areas of focus include leadership, retention, and diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives. Her thought leadership has been widely quoted and published in leading publications such as Stanford Social Innovation Review, and Philanthropy News Digest, and Fast Company as well as by the Society for Human Resource Management. She recently authored The Governance Gap: Examining Diversity and Equity in Nonprofit Boards of Directorswhich explores the persistent lack of diversity on nonprofit boards and offers actionable strategies for increasing board diversity and inclusion.

Brennan began her career as a journalist, then moved into the online communications space. Prior to joining Koya, she served as a Senior Editor at LifeWorks, one of the nation’s leading Employee Assistance Programs, where she partnered with HR leaders to create custom content designed to improve employee engagement and satisfaction. She has served on numerous boards nationally and locally, and is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Our Neighbor’s Table, a hunger relief organization in Massachusetts that aims to eliminate food insecurity in the communities it serves.

She has also completed a program in Diversity and Inclusion at Cornell University, is a Certified Diversity Recruiter, and an alum of LeadBoston, a professional leadership program of the YW Boston that is focused on racial equity.

Prior, Rebecca provided strategic communications support for Montserrat College of Art, a small private arts school in Massachusetts, and the Museum of Fine Arts Boston.

Rebecca began her career as Executive Recruiter and Manager of Research for a Boston-area search firm, where she successfully conducted VP and C-level searches for nonprofit, high-tech and biotech clients and built the firm’s in-house research function.

Heather Campion is a Managing Director for Koya Partners, part of Diversified Search Group. Campion manages the Connected Leadership practice, which provides strategic consulting for leaders to help them build more meaningful reputations around their larger purpose. This includes developing and connecting them with influential networks and building affinity with key stakeholders in order to achieve greater impact and business success.

Campion has broad experience at the highest levels of public, private, and nonprofit institutions. She has expertise in public affairs, including media and communications, marketing sponsorships, charitable giving, and government relations.

A recognized leader in women’s advancement throughout her career, Campion is past president of the Massachusetts Women’s Forum, serves on the board of the Massachusetts Conference for Women, and is a senior adviser to the Women in Leadership program at the Institute of Politics at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government.

Campion was the first woman to serve as CEO of the John F. Kennedy Library Foundation, and subsequently founded and led Mount Vernon Strategies. Previously, she spent many years in banking. She served as Executive Vice President of Corporate Affairs at Citizens Financial Group, and later took on the role of Chief Administrative Officer at Northeast Bancorp, where she co-founded ableBanking, an innovative online savings division with a charitable affinity program.

Campion began her career in politics and government, first serving in the Carter White House and subsequently joining Harvard’s Kennedy School, where she held many leadership positions throughout its early development. She was the Kennedy School’s first Director of Public Liaison, and, early on, helped build the Center for Business and Government. She also led the JFK Jr. Forum and was Associate Director of the Institute of Politics.

Campion has served on numerous private and nonprofit boards and currently is on the boards of Harvard’s Institute of Politics, AAA Northeast, and on the President’s Advisory Boards of the Brigham & Women’s Hospital and Partners Health Care.

Kim Dukes is a recognized expert on strategic diversity recruiting and inclusive business practices. Prior to joining Koya/DSG, she worked at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center as their Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Strategist where she was responsible for dismantling bias in the hiring process and hiring leaders for the organization.  During the Covid 19 pandemic, her work expanded to keeping an equity lens on the medical center’s internal and external work during the pandemic. She also co-founded  DSP Executive Search, a veteran-owned (Navy) diversity search firm that helped organizations address their talent pool gaps and assisted them in building, recruiting, and hiring balanced workforces.

 

For the past 25 years, Kim has recruited, hired, and trained candidates for managerial and executive roles, trained corporate recruiters on the art of inclusive recruiting, and served as a consultant and strategic partner to help organizations build sustainable diversity programs. Kim is a member of the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) and the Northeast Human Resources Association (NEHRA) – where she is a member of the Diversity Advisory Committee and past co-chair of the Diversity and Inclusion Community Forum. Kim is a Cornell Certified Diversity Professional/Advanced Practitioner (CCDP/AP), and a 2021 graduate of McKinsey Academy’s Black Executive Leadership Program.

 

Her work has been featured in Forbes, U.S. News & World Report, and the Boston Business Journal. She is a LeadBoston 2012 alumni and was named Northeast HR Association 2014 Volunteer of the Year. She sits on the board of Trustees for Youth Enrichment Services (YES) and her commitment to youth made her the recipient of a Strong Women Strong Girls’ Spark Award. Rob Eastwick-Haskell is the Senior Vice President, Technology & Innovation for Diversified Search Group, joining the firm upon its acquisition of Koya Partners in 2019. 

 

As SVP, Eastwick-Haskell plays a key role in developing and managing the Diversified Search Group’s IT infrastructure. In addition to the day-to-day needs of all the DSG firms, he is also responsible for long-term planning and “the big picture,” anticipating and fulfilling IT needs as DSG continues to grow.  

 

Prior to joining Koya Partners and the Diversified Search Group, Eastwick-Haskell spent 20 years working in the IT field with organizations such as Harvard Business School, KeyW Corporation, and the New England College of Business. From education to government contracts, he has supported team members worldwide, maintaining a focus on the employee experience and understanding the importance of minimizing employee downtime to the company bottom line.

She has expertise working with many mission-based organizations including conservation and environmental, reproductive rights, social justice, healthcare, and education organizations.

Erin Reedy is a Managing Director at Koya Partners, part of Diversified Search Group. She conducts searches for leading mission-driven clients across the nonprofit sector. With a prior career in community development finance and a deep commitment to the nonprofit sector, Reedy enjoys establishing strong client relationships and has significant experience working in the philanthropy, education and social services spaces, among others.

Reedy’s clients have included The David and Lucile Packard Foundation, Jumpstart, Financial Health Network, and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, among others. In her 14-year career in executive search, she has conducted more than 250 searches for CEO, Executive Director and other senior level roles.

Reedy has particular expertise leading searches for Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs) and other organizations working in affordable housing and community and economic development. She worked for 11 years at the Rhode Island Housing and Mortgage Finance Corporation, where she oversaw multifamily development that resulted in the financing and construction of over 200 new affordable housing units annually, as well as the preservation and renovation of 2,000 existing affordable housing units each year.

Reedy’s background also includes work in nonprofit public relations, community outreach, research, and special projects. She serves on the Board of Directors for AFFIRM, a nonprofit founded by the medical community to address gun violence in the United States from a public health perspective.

She has more than 20 years of search leadership experience within both big box and boutique search firms, recruiting healthcare investment professionals and senior operators for a wide range of emerging and established life sciences companies.

Her clients on the investment side have included corporate venture capital funds, public and private Investment funds, global health, and impact investment funds. On the portfolio side, she has recruited senior leaders for emerging companies and worked with large cap, public life sciences clients. Cassie Scarano is a Managing Director at Koya Partners, part of Diversified Search Group. She joined Koya Partners following Koya’s acquisition of Commongood Careers, where she was Founder and CEO. A seasoned nonprofit leader and search expert, at Commongood Careers Scarano led all aspects of organizational strategy and operations while also personally managing over 100 searches and overseeing more than 1,000 searches for innovative mission-driven organizations across the country.

In addition to her search work, Scarano has served as a thought leader for the sector, creating and conducting training sessions on effective nonprofit recruiting and hiring, integrating an equity lens into the recruiting and hiring process, and conducting an effective job search in the social sector. In 2015, she partnered with the Robin Hood Foundation to create LeaderLink, an innovative program to recruit and select senior-level leaders from the private sector to participate in a training program to prepare them to transition into leadership roles within the nonprofit sector.

Prior to Commongood Careers, Scarano held a variety of senior leadership roles in nonprofit organizations, giving her a valuable perspective when partnering with nonprofit leaders on talent-related issues. As the Dean of Admissions at The Steppingstone Foundation, she led the team recruiting and selecting students and families for a rigorous academic enrichment and college access program. Early in her career, she served as Director of Summerbridge Cambridge (now Breakthrough Greater Boston) where she helped grow the program by 40 percent.

Scarano is an advisor to Equity in the Center and a former board member of Breakthrough Cambridge, where she served as co-chair of the governance committee and member of the expansion committee. She is also an alumnus of LeadBoston.

Prior to joining Koya, Schaefer spent five years with Neumann Executive Search Partners (formerly Brill Neumann Associates), first as a senior consultant and later as principal. At Neumann, she developed a wide network of contacts through her work in a variety of areas across academic and administrative leadership roles.

Matthew Vossler is a Managing Director at the Boston office of Diversified Search Group, where he serves primarily in the Life Sciences and Healthcare Services Practices. He has completed searches at the CEO and CFO levels, as well as Executive Director and Vice President in a range of therapeutic areas within general management, research and development, commercial operations, regulatory affairs, and technical operations. He also has considerable experience in the nonprofit sector, specifically working with hospitals, universities, and independent research institutes.

Prior to joining Diversified Search, Vossler most recently was a Partner with The RSA Group, a global retained executive search and consulting company with headquarters in London. Before RSA, he was a founding partner of Heritage Partners International and was associated with a number of other search firms, including Heidrick & Struggles. Before entering the field of executive search, Vossler served as President of Home Buyers Assistance Corporation, a relocation management company based in Westport, Connecticut.

In 1987, Vossler co-founded Swim Across America, a nonprofit organization that raises funds for cancer research, treatment, and survivorship programs through a series of open-water swimming events. He currently serves as the organization’s Co-Founder and Board Member. To date, Swim Across America has raised more than $90 million, primarily benefiting Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, UCSF, Massachusetts General, Johns Hopkins University Medical Center, and The Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
