Marissa Delgado is a Managing Director at Koya Partners, part of Diversified Search Group. With nearly 15 years in the executive search industry, she has successfully led executive and senior-level leadership recruitments across functions and industries.
At Koya, Delgado leads a portfolio of executive-level searches. She has deep expertise in social and human services, organizations with global reach, and with health-related nonprofits. Her clients include the Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago, JDRF, After School Matters, Opportunity International, the Chicago Council on Global Affairs, Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation, and National Safety Council.
Prior to joining Koya, Delgado served as Vice President, Global Research for search firm DHR International. A key leader in the development of the firm’s education and nonprofit practice, she was also responsible for overall management of DHR International’s global search execution and was instrumental in the expansion of the firm into Asia, Europe, and South America. Deeply committed to client service, she was awarded the Chairman’s Award for Excellence at DHR multiple times.
Delgado’s commitment to the mission-driven field was cemented early in her career, when she worked at Christopher House, a nationally recognized social service organization in Chicago that supports low-income families.
Steve is an experienced leader who has served in a variety of senior leadership and content creation roles in media, civic engagement, and higher education.
Most recently, he was Chief Content Officer of WBEZ Chicago Public Media, Chicago’s NPR News station and the birthplace of such celebrated programs as This American Life, Serial, and Wait Wait…Don’t Tell Me.
During his tenure as Chief Content Officer, Steve led an ambitious increase in the organization’s commitment to original reporting and digital content, doubling the size of the newsroom, boosting investigative journalism, and increasing coverage of race, class, and communities. Under his leadership, WBEZ achieved record audience ratings across platforms and launched an array of acclaimed programs, podcasts, and digital products.
From September 2019 through October 2020, he also served as the organization’s interim CEO, navigating the challenges of the COVID crisis while strengthening culture, deepening community engagement, and expanding the organization’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
From 2012 to 2017, Steve helped launch and lead the University of Chicago’s Institute of Politics, a non-partisan program devoted to cultivating the next generation of public service leaders. As Executive Director, he oversaw all programming and operational duties, including public events, professional fellowships, and career and civic engagement programs. In addition, he co-designed and led the Sargent Shriver Program for Leadership in Public Service and launched The Axe Files podcast in partnership with former presidential advisor David Axelrod and CNN.
Previously, Steve spent nearly 20 years as an award-winning journalist, producer, and program host. As a journalist, his work has appeared on the BBC, Bloomberg News, PBS, and numerous public radio stations around the United States. He is also the recipient of numerous journalism honors, including the Grand Award in Radio from the National Headliner Club, the RTNDA’s Edward R. Murrow Award, as well as awards from The Associated Press, the National Association of Black Journalists, the Society of Professional Journalists, and UPI, among others.
Steve is a member of the teaching faculty at the University of Chicago’s Civic Leadership Academy and serves as a facilitator and steering committee member of Chicago 200, an annual leadership program that convenes a diverse array of young leaders from across the Chicagoland area.
He is a member of the board of directors of the Invisible Institute, the Chicago Sunday Evening Club, and The Obsidian Collection.
Steve earned his B.A. in Political Science from Amherst College. He was a Knight-Wallace Fellow at the University of Michigan.
Robin Goolsbee is a Managing Director in the Corporate and Life Sciences Practices of Diversified Search Group. She is based in Chicago. As a trusted advisor and consultant to her clients, Robin identifies and recruits leaders to C-suite and other senior-level roles across all functional areas. In addition to corporate and life science clients, Robin also focuses on professional services. Her experience in this realm spans nearly two decades.
Robin began her career in management consulting at Boston Consulting Group in their Boston and London offices where she served consumer goods and industrial firms. Later, at McKinsey & Company in Chicago, she served retail, consumer goods and media and education clients as an Engagement Manager.
Prior to joining Diversified Search, she served as a Senior Principal at Business Talent Group. Now, a Heidrick & Struggles subsidiary, Business Talent Group is the leading provider of on-demand consultants and experts. While at BTG, she scoped and sold consulting projects and curated consulting talent from BTG’s network of 15,000 independent consultants. Her clients were Fortune 500 firms, leading professional services firms, and Private Equity portfolio companies. Her work included placing C-level executives in interim roles as well.
Robin is also a skilled business development executive. Earlier in her career, Robin served as Director of Business Development at MTV International. She then worked as an Assistant VP of Business Development at UNext, a corporate training and MBA-education provider offering courses in partnership with Stanford Business School, Columbia Business School, The London School of Economics, University of Chicago’s Booth Graduate School of Business and Carnegie Mellon.
Robin has served on a number of civic boards including the University of Chicago’s Comer Children’s Hospital and spends her time with her husband and three children.
Nicole Kamaleson is a Managing Director for Koya Partners, part of Diversified Search Group. She has over 20 years of experience working with global mission-driven organizations advising in governance, human capital, organizational development, and a variety of C-suite leadership transitions. She has expertise across many sectors, including philanthropy, impact investing and inclusive finance, international NGOs, think tanks, research, human rights, sustainability and the environment. She has lived overseas for most of her professional career; ten years in Eastern Europe, six in Kenya and over a year in the UK. Her work has spanned the globe in Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Americas. Kamaleson’s focus is on expanding Koya’s work for organizations with a global mission whether in the US or abroad.
Kamaleson has led senior executive searches at the Board, CEO, C-suite, Vice President, and regional and country director levels internationally. Recent representative clients include Global Fund to End Modern Slavery, European Foundation Centre, Greenpeace, MCE Social Capital, Reporters Without Borders, Barça Foundation, National Audubon Society, Rise Against Hunger, Possible Health, JA Africa and Chicago Council on Global Affairs, among others.

Julie Kanak serves as a Managing Director with Diversified Search Group in the firm’s Chicago office, where she contributes expertise in global business, banking, and natural resources. She is active in the Industrial, Life Sciences, Consumer and Retail, and Natural Resources practices, as well as being a key member of the Board, CEO and CFO practices.
Kanak has recruited board, general management, and financial executives for public, private equity-backed and family-owned enterprises. Her clients range from Fortune 500s to emerging companies. Her banking activity encompasses senior level placements in coverage/corporate finance, treasury, risk management, investment banking, and capital markets for the world’s leading financial institutions.
Prior to joining Diversified Search, Kanak spent four years with a leading global search firm and boutique global agribusiness firm. That work complemented her 26 years in banking and corporate finance, where she principally focused on agribusiness, food, and energy. The bulk of her global corporate and investment banking career was spent as North American head of AgriFoods at Credit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank. Her career also includes more than 10 years as a global banker and senior executive with Australia and New Zealand Banking Group, and State Bank of South Australia in New York and Chicago.

Alexandra Lurie is a Vice President and Senior Search Associate based in the Chicago office of Diversified Search Group, working primarily in the Healthcare Services Practice.
Lurie began her search career with The Continuum Group, a healthcare executive search firm based in Chicago. There, she worked as the Director of Research, where she was responsible for strategy centered around the targeting of health systems and medical centers, as well as individuals within those organizations.
Prior to joining Diversified Search, Lurie worked at DHR International as a Senior Associate, where she was responsible for full lifecycle recruitment for fully retained, executive-level searches in the firm’s Healthcare practice. There, she helped place candidates in various positions in the healthcare sector, including those of board director, CEO, COO, CFO, chief nursing officer, chief marketing officer, dean, and more.
Prior to entering the search industry, Lurie worked as an account executive with Abelson Taylor Chicago, a health and wellness ad agency focusing on pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, and nutrition. She is also a certified Pilates instructor.

A seasoned talent strategist, DEI champion, and evangelist for talent innovation, transformation, and excellence, Milkint joined Diversified Search Group in 2021 following a 35-year career in the search industry. Her search career has been focused on insurance and healthcare in the C-suite (notably CEO, COO, CFO, Chief Actuary, CIO, CRO, Chief Medical Officers/Physician Executives), and in the boardroom. She offers depth in the property and casualty, life, health, and reinsurance sectors, including insurtech. She has successfully conducted searches in actuarial, analytics, underwriting, claims, operations, risk, finance, investment, legal, technology, sales/distribution, and marketing.
Milkint is a strong champion for diversity, equity, and inclusion in the insurance industry. Alison P. Ranney is a Managing Partner and Partner-In-Charge as well as Co-Leader of the CEO Practice at Diversified Search Group. Alison was formerly Managing Partner at Koya Partners, which became a member of Diversified Search Group in 2019. She specializes in leading CEO, President, Executive Director, and other senior executive searches for mission-driven clients across the country and around the world. She is the Office Managing Director of the firms’ Chicago office.
Ranney partners with a broad range of clients, including foundations, cultural institutions, membership organizations, other nonprofits, colleges, and universities. She has successfully led searches at the CEO, President, Executive Director, Dean, COO, CFO, and VP levels. Her board practice work includes both private sector and nonprofit clients.
Ranney’s work has been featured in numerous publications over the years. A 2017 cover story in Crain’s profiling Koya’s efforts to strengthen and diversify senior leadership at mission-driven clients in the Chicago area and nationally noted that, “Koya Leadership Partners’ Alison Ranney is remaking what leadership looks like across the country.”

Ranney began her career at Skadden, Arps as a corporate attorney with a focus on M&A. Prior, she served as a vice president of the real estate development firm responsible for Prairie Crossing, the award-winning conservation community, and as an executive with AT&T Wireless.

Zack Reynolds is a Managing Director in the Healthcare Services practice in the Chicago office. With more than 20 years of executive search experience in the provider and payer healthcare space, Reynolds plays the role of trusted advisor and consultant to his clients. He has served as a generalist with a heavy emphasis on C-Suite and vice president-level positions across all functional areas, and has conducted national searches in a variety of environments with varying degrees of scale and complexity. His clients have included multi-state integrated delivery systems, provider sponsored and national payers, large academic medical centers, schools of medicine, small rural health systems, physician groups, and ACOs.

He rejoined QLK in 2007 and served as a Partner from 2011 until joining Diversified in 2016. Reynolds began his career in the late-1990s as a research associate with Norman Broadbent International, where he was responsible for search strategy and candidate development.

Terry Scherck brings more than 20 years of experience in the areas of general management, strategy development, marketing and sales leadership, and consulting services. Since entering retained executive search, Scherck has recruited senior executives in the pharmaceutical, biotech, and device industries for a range of positions, including chairman of the board, president, chief executive officer, and CHRO. In December 2008, he was recognized by Businessweek magazine as one of “The World’s Most Influential Headhunters.”
Prior to joining Diversified Search Group, Scherck was the Global Leader of A. T. Kearney’s Healthcare/Life Sciences practice and a senior member of its Board of Director practice. In addition, he served on ATK’s Executive Committee.
Before entering executive search, he spent more than 15 years in the pharmaceutical and consumer products industries as a senior executive with Bristol Myers Squibb, Guerlain, SA, and Warner Communications (Cosmair).
