Michelle Bonoan is a Managing Director at the Diversified Search Group through Koya Partners, which was acquired by Diversified Search in 2019. Previously, Bonoan served as a managing director at Diversified Search from 2011 to 2013.

With more than 20 years of experience as a search consultant, Bonoan has led executive searches across a wide range of industries and functions. As a specialist serving the education, nonprofit, and arts and culture sectors, she has successfully completed searches for CEOs, Presidents, Executive Directors, and Chief Financial Officers, as well as for key posts in fundraising and program management, among other positions.

Bonoan’s clients include organizations dedicated to education, social services, arts and culture, children and family services, the environment, and health-related issues, as well as prominent educational institutions, such as research and private universities, small liberal arts colleges, and independent college preparatory schools. The American Red Cross, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, California Institute of Technology, University of California, the Walt Disney Family Foundation, and the Armand Hammer United World College of the American West are just a few of her many marquee clients.

Before joining Koya, Bonoan was a Partner with Heidrick & Struggles, where she was a core member of the Education, Nonprofit and Social Enterprise practice. She began her career in executive search in 1996 with a boutique retained executive search firm based in Los Angeles serving education institutions, nonprofits, and national corporations, ultimately assuming the role of Vice President and Education & Nonprofit Practice Leader. Later, she worked for a national search firm where she opened the Southern California office dedicated to the education and nonprofit sectors.

Heather Linehan focuses on cross-functional VP and C-suite level assignments, working with venture-backed, development stage, and high-growth publicly held companies in the medical device, biopharma, diagnostic, digital health, and health IT markets. With her collaborative approach to recruitment and a deep background in research, Linehan is adept at identifying, tracking, and aligning top talent with top companies. She is highly regarded for her work on key technical searches in R&D, clinical operations, regulatory affairs, and quality assurance, as well as on commercial searches in general management, sales, marketing, and business development.

Prior to joining BioQuest in 2007, which was acquired by Diversified Search Group in 2016, Linehan held leadership positions at retained search firm McCormack & Farrow,  where she specialized in recruitment strategy and candidate development and evaluation.

Linehan is the founding President of the Southern California Chapter of the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association, where she led the establishment of the organization’s Advisory Board.

Since joining BioQuest, which was acquired by Diversified Search Group in 2016, in 2001, Dave Mildrew has teamed with CEOs, senior executives, and board members to find the right leaders for fast-growing healthcare organizations. His specialty is building leadership teams for emerging companies, with a mandate for fast growth.

Before entering the field of executive search, Mildrew spent more than 30 years working in the healthcare industry, including in senior-level roles and as a human resources executive for global corporations including Pfizer, Medtronic, CareMark, and Tokos Medical. As Vice President, Human Resources at CareMark and Tokos, Mildrew played a key role in growing the organizations from emerging startups into large public companies. He was also instrumental in hiring the senior leaders who led IPOs and subsequent strategic acquisitions.

Michael Sarnoff is the leader of Diversified Search Group’s Financial Services Practice, and is based in Los Angeles. Prior to joining Diversified Search in 2018, he spent five years as Co-Founder and Partner at Highland Road LLC, a boutique executive search and capital advisory firm in Los Angeles, where his clients included asset and investment managers, hedge funds, private equity and private debt funds, and investment banks, among others. The roles he has filled include senior leadership (CFO, COO, General Counsel), investing and investment research, origination, capital raising, investment banking, and sales and trading.

Prior to co-founding Highland Road, Sarnoff served as a Partner at Heidrick & Struggles, where he concentrated on capital markets in the financial services sector, and as a Client Partner at Korn Ferry International, where he helped build the firm’s global markets business. At Korn, he became the first senior associate under the age of 30 in the Financial Services Practice to ever be promoted to Client Partner.

Before entering the executive search industry, he was a manager of human resources for the University of Southern California, and began his career as the head of human resources at PBJ Digital, a North Hollywood web development and consulting start-up.

With over 15 years of experience in executive search and career coaching, Amy has deep expertise with mission-driven clients across a wide range of industries and functions in the nonprofit and social impact sectors.

Based in Southern California, Amy partners with local and nationwide clients encompassing the fields of education, health and wellness, arts and culture, youth and family services, environment and agriculture. She specializes in leading searches at the highest levels, including CEO, Executive Director, President, and other key senior leadership positions.

Most recently, she served as a Managing Consultant at Korn Ferry, the largest global executive search and organizational consulting firm. In this role, Amy was a core member of the Nonprofit and Education practice where she partnered with clients to place senior level executives and emerging leaders. Prior to joining Korn Ferry, Amy was both an executive recruiter and career coach for Koya Partners, guiding senior leaders in transforming their careers. During her tenure, she established and led the firm’s Career Services practice, coaching and inspiring individuals on various career services topics to feel empowered and invested in achieving career goals.

Earlier in her career, Amy served as the Associate Director of Recruitment and Selection at The Broad Center, where she recruited executive leadership talent nationwide to become the next generation of urban school district leaders. She began her recruiting career at Bain & Company, where she managed the company’s internship and experienced hire recruiting programs. Amy spent several years overseeing and increasing awareness of internship programs at both Boston University and Emerson College as well as counseling students and alumni. She began her career in media relations at Citigate Cunningham where she successfully managed national media relations and strategic communications programs for major high tech and consumer companies.

Amy volunteers with nonprofit organizations focused on education and the empowerment of women and serves as a yoga and meditation guide with a passion for teaching individuals in transition.12

Amy holds a BA in Humanities from Providence College, where she volunteered as a Career Peer Advisor in the Office of Career Services.

A seasoned senior commercial executive in healthcare and life sciences, Peter W. Schineller joined Diversified Search Group in 2019. He works primarily for BioQuest, the firm’s life sciences company, headquartered in San Francisco. His deep experience spans the pharmaceutical, diagnostic, and medical device sectors.

Before entering the executive search field, Schineller most recently served in the role of Senior Vice President, Sales, Managed Care/Trade, Corporate Development & Training for Assertio Therapeutics, a Lake Forest, Illinois-based pharmaceutical company. Reporting directly to the President and CEO, he was part of a team charged with reinventing the company, and in this role executed a complete restructuring of the field sales organization, revamped the selling methodology, and reprioritized the product portfolio focus. Prior to joining Assertio, he served as the Chief Operating Officer for Sommetrics, Inc., a Vista, California-based company that develops and markets technology for better sleep.

Schineller’s career in healthcare technology and bioscience began at Abbott Laboratories, where he began as a sales representative and rose through the ranks to become the Director of Western U.S., Managed Health Care. After spending four years as a Vice President at Dura/Elan Biopharmaceuticals (Elan acquired Dura), he then co-founded Verus Pharmaceuticals, where he served as the Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing, eventually overseeing a team of 70. After a successful exit driven by the sale of Verus’s asthma clinical development program and its Twinject commercial business, he spent the next eight years in various senior leadership and consultant roles at several companies in the burgeoning pharmaceutical and  diagnostic sectors.

Schineller is a former Commissioned Officer in the United States Marine Corps, where he spent four years on active duty and another five in in the Reserves/IRR, attaining the rank of Captain.

Jim Sirianni is a Managing Director at Storbeck Search, part of Diversified Search Group.

Before entering executive search, Sirianni led professional development programming for presidents, provosts, and chief business officers at the American Council on Education (ACE). He oversaw multiple programs, bringing together newly appointed leaders as well as preparing individuals for the next steps in their professional journeys. Additionally, Sirianni tracked patterns that affect institutional strategy and management practices and shared his findings with ACE members across the country.

Previously, Sirianni was a research consultant at EAB, where he worked on the strategic issues facing provosts and related senior leaders. His portfolio included responsibility for uncovering best practices in academic affairs, managing research teams, and presenting findings to clients around the country. Earlier in his career, Sirianni served as a dean and director at Stanford University and as a researcher at the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching, where his work was later published in Rethinking Undergraduate Business Education: Liberal Learning for the Profession (2011), the winner of the AAC&U’s Frederic W. Ness Book Award in 2013.

Sirianni has been an invited speaker on executive search and leadership development at ACE’s Fellows program and for the Association for Collaborative Leadership. Today, he continues to contribute to the field by teaching leadership and management in the higher education doctoral program at George Washington University.
