Chris Berger joined Diversified Search Group in 2017 to co-lead the firm’s Human Resources practice, after seven successful years as co-owner of the successful boutique HR executive search firm RomanoBerger LLC. Berger brings close to 20 years of executive search experience focused in the Human Resources arena, and 10 years in HR on the corporate side. He has completed hundreds of senior executive search assignments across all functional areas of human resources and across multiple industry sectors. His clients have ranged from Fortune 50 multinationals to startups.

Berger entered the executive search profession in 1999 when he was recruited into Korn/Ferry International’s Human Resources practice, and quickly became a leading member of the execution team. Several years later, he co-founded the Human Resources practice at TMP Worldwide (later Highland Partners). When TMP was acquired by Heidrick & Struggles, Berger was recruited to further develop the HR practice at CTPartners.

Berger began his career at May Department Stores, completing the company’s highly regarded Executive Training Program. He served briefly as an assistant buyer before entering human resources, where he led merchant training, corporate communications, college relations, and executive recruiting for a May division. In 1995, he was recruited by Melville/CVS Corporation, where, as HR Generalist, he recruited leadership roles before becoming Vice President of Corporate Human Resources and Staffing. Berger was briefly recruited back to the corporate side during his search career to become head of the executive recruiting for insurance giant Aetna.

Judy Boreham is a Managing Director and Co-Practice Leader, Human Resources at Diversified Search Group, where she manages a broad range of clients including those in the corporate and nonprofit sectors. As co-leader of the firm’s Human Resources practice, she specializes and is engaged in placing senior executives at the local, regional, national, and global level, and has gained expansive experience covering a wide variety of human capital related roles including CHRO, compensation/total rewards, talent acquisition and development, learning and development, organizational development, workforce planning, shared services, and business partnering assignments with such clients as LabCorp, Ametek Inc., AstraZeneca, Radius Health, Barnabas Healthcare, and Lidl.

Prior to joining Diversified Search in 1995, Boreham worked for a search firm in Central London serving the consumer market. Working with a portfolio of blue-chip international clients such as Kraft, Duracell, McKinsey, AC Nielson, Guinness, and SmithKline Beecham, she managed key business assignments across the United Kingdom.

Prior to her search career, Boreham held various business and marketing leadership positions with the largest and fastest-growing division of Baxter Healthcare, Inc., where she was responsible for launching a range of product lines that gained worldwide recognition, and more recently as Business Manager for the Critical Care division at Johnson & Johnson, where she was responsible for the development of a patient monitoring technology product in the provider healthcare space.

Eve Charny is a Vice President and Senior Search Associate at Diversified Search Group, working in the Human Resources practice. She boasts over 27 years of strong expertise in talent acquisition process and client management.

Prior to joining Diversified Search in 2019, Charny was most recently a Vice President of Client Management for Rudish Executive Search, headquartered in Boca Raton, Florida. There, she oversaw and managed a two-year search engagement for a leading global management consulting firm, focused on recruiting Partners/Principals, and senior level consultants for two of their large Advisory Practices. Eve hired, coached, and oversaw a virtual recruitment team; and created and executed multi-faceted sourcing strategies, including identifying relevant research tools and social media channels.

Prior to her time at Rudish, Charny spent 17 years with InSearch Worldwide (which in 2008 became Allegis Partners) in Stamford, Connecticut. There, she worked as a Principal, managing client relationships and driving senior- level searches across a broad range of functions, including marketing, human resources, digital, technology, strategy, operations, customer service, business development, finance, compliance, and account management. She also led both US-based and international recruiting and sourcing teams.

Charny began her career in the executive search industry as the president, owner, and founder of Charny Thompson, Inc., in New York City. While there, she launched, built, and led the boutique IT staffing firm to 10 consecutive years of profits and annual sales growth averaging 30 percent.

Robin Goolsbee is a Managing Director in the Corporate and Life Sciences Practices of Diversified Search Group. She is based in Chicago. As a trusted advisor and consultant to her clients, Robin identifies and recruits leaders to C-suite and other senior-level roles across all functional areas. In addition to corporate and life science clients, Robin also focuses on professional services. Her experience in this realm spans nearly two decades.

Robin began her career in management consulting at Boston Consulting Group in their Boston and London offices where she served consumer goods and industrial firms. Later, at McKinsey & Company in Chicago, she served retail, consumer goods and media and education clients as an Engagement Manager.

Prior to joining Diversified Search, she served as a Senior Principal at Business Talent Group. Now, a Heidrick & Struggles subsidiary, Business Talent Group is the leading provider of on-demand consultants and experts. While at BTG, she scoped and sold consulting projects and curated consulting talent from BTG’s network of 15,000 independent consultants. Her clients were Fortune 500 firms, leading professional services firms, and Private Equity portfolio companies. Her work included placing C-level executives in interim roles as well.

Robin is also a skilled business development executive. Earlier in her career, Robin served as Director of Business Development at MTV International. She then worked as an Assistant VP of Business Development at UNext, a corporate training and MBA-education provider offering courses in partnership with Stanford Business School, Columbia Business School, The London School of Economics, University of Chicago’s Booth Graduate School of Business and Carnegie Mellon.

Robin has served on a number of civic boards including the University of Chicago’s Comer Children’s Hospital and spends her time with her husband and three children.

Lauren Smith is a Managing Director in the Miami office of Diversified Search Group. She conducts senior-level executive search assignments for clients ranging from high-growth early-stage organizations to multinational corporations, specializing in working with companies that are growing and/or transforming into new markets and businesses.

Smith is valued by clients for her ability to understand an organization’s strategic direction, her skills at assessing the cultural fit of candidates, and her dedication to quality and timeliness. She has placed executives and/or board members at clients such as Apple, Citrix, Comfort Systems, DHL, Kaplan Inc., Novell, Office Depot, Polyconcept, Ryder, Sheridan Healthcare, Tupperware, and Winn-Dixie. She has recently co-led board searches for a number of Fortune 500 boards, including Jacobs Engineering Corporation, Fifth Third Bank, and Navient Corporation.

She started her career in executive search in 2000 with Egon Zehnder. Before moving into the search field, she had 12 years of experience leading marketing and strategy at two Fortune 50 companies, Westinghouse Electric Corporation and Motorola Inc. During her time at Motorola, she led marketing and customer operations for a wireless joint venture in Bogotá, Colombia.

Smith is an active member on numerous boards of directors. Some of these include the American Red Cross South Florida Chapter, the H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship of Nova Southeastern University, and the Women Executive Leadership. A Governance Fellow at the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD), she is the President of the Florida Chapter and is an active member of the Thirty Percent Coalition and Women Corporate Directors.

Smith has been quoted as an expert on executive and board recruiting a wide range of publications, including NACD Directorship, Entrepreneur magazine, American Way magazine, the Miami Herald, and South Florida CEO Magazine. She has served as a guest lecturer at Nova Southeastern University and as a speaker for the National Association of Corporate Directors. In 2010, she was named a Most Influential Business Woman by the South Florida Business Journal.
